Shelter the People Cleveland is acquiring and developing vacant lots for the installation of affordable, prefab, and sustainable homes.

The homes will be built by men and women with lived homeless experience. Shelter the People Cleveland is a General Contractor registered with the City of Cleveland, and we will train apprentices and hold educational seminars as part of the construction process. We are thrilled to partner with Good Building, Croft Haus & People’s Plumbing for the construction of these homes and other projects.

With other neighborhoods in severe need of new housing, we see this as a model for all of Cuyahoga County.

The homes will be built by men and women with lived homeless experience, and we will train apprentices during the construction process as part of a workforce development program. We also hold educational seminars on natural building and sustainable construction practices in our community gathering space.
